What does Engineering involve?

Good refractory construction begins with good planning. Our engineering team supports you with technical design, material specification and project planning – whether for new-build projects, complex modifications or the assessment of existing plants. Our engineers combine theoretical expertise with many years of practical experience in refractory construction.

We prepare design calculations for thermal loads, heat transfer and stress distribution. On this basis, we specify the optimum materials and lining concepts. On new-build projects, we work closely with the plant builder and ensure that the refractory lining is perfectly matched to the process.

Complete documentation is standard practice for us: from material specifications and installation drawings through to as-built documentation with batch traceability. For expert reports and damage assessments, our experienced engineers are available to you as independent experts.

Our process

Step by step to the result

Structured, transparent and on schedule — this is how we work.

1

Assessment

Recording the current condition

1–3 days

We record the current condition of the plant through site inspection, measurement and analysis of the existing documentation. Process parameters, operating data and historical wear data are evaluated. For expert reports, the damage mechanism is identified and documented.

2

Design

Technical design and specification

1–3 weeks

Our engineers carry out the necessary calculations: heat transfer, thermal stresses, chemical resistance and material selection. The results feed into detailed specifications and installation drawings. All calculations are carried out in accordance with the relevant DIN and ISO standards.

3

Supervision

Technical site supervision

Throughout the project

During execution, our engineers supervise the professional implementation of the design. Material deliveries, quality inspections and deviations are documented. This ensures that the work is carried out exactly to specification.

4

Documentation

As-built documents and inspection records

1–2 weeks

On project completion, we prepare complete as-built documentation: material certificates, batch traceability, inspection records and updated drawings. The documentation complies with all relevant standards and serves as the basis for future maintenance and inspections.
