What does Wear involve?

Wear is the greatest enemy of any refractory lining. Whether mechanical abrasion from material flow, erosion from hot gases or chemical attack by slag – the loads in industrial furnaces are extreme. With our wear protection solutions, we significantly extend the service life of your lining and thereby reduce your operating costs.

We analyse the specific wear mechanisms in your plant and develop tailored protection concepts. We rely on proven high-performance materials such as SiC-containing castables, corundum linings, wear-resistant precast shapes and special coatings. Material selection is always based on the actual load profiles.
